MR PERFUSION AS MOLECULAR IMAGING BIOMARKERS
LUIS MARTI-BONMATI

During the last decade, Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging has benefited from great advances in terms of magnet design, with the development of higher magnetic fields, gradient technologies, with the improvement in strength and temporal resolution, and also in acquisition techniques, with the expansion of parallel imaging techniques using multichannel surface coils to significantly reduce the acquisition time. These changes have allowed the clinical development of some special abdominal applications like diffusion weighted (DW) and perfusion weighted (PW) imaging.
