CARCINOMA DE MERKEL

Merkel cell carcinoma is a rare malignant tumor of neuroendocrine origin, usually found in the elderly, predominantly in the head, neck and extremities. In many patients, a local recurrence after resection or distant metastasis can be found, making them aggressive and difficult to treat.
