• Imaging generally not specific
- Clinical correlation essential
- Imaging should follow, not precede nor substitute
for, appropriate evaluation
• MR superior to CT
- Fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR)
imaging
- Contrast-enhanced fat-suppressed scans
- MR spectroscopy, diffusion-weighted imaging
- CT better for bone involvement
• Metabolic imaging: selected cases
