INTRODUCTION Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) possess several virtues including superb soft-tissue contrast, absence of radiation exposure, cross-sectional and projectional imaging capabilities in all three dimensions and multiple contrast sources, that may favour a comprehensive morphologic and functional evaluation of the small bowel (SB).
